SALLIE T. REYNOLDS
In Memoriam 09/13/23 – 05/19/04
Sallie T. Reynolds was a native Californian trailblazer whose drive, determination and compassion led her to enrich the lives of countless in the state. Born in Santa Ana in 1923, she attended Scripps College and Stanford University where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa in 1945. She then went on to attend Boalt Hall School of Law and UCLA School of Law where she became one of the first four women to ever graduate from the school. After practicing law in Los Angeles for many years, Sallie made the permanent move to beautiful Laguna Hills in Orange County.
Sallie had a heart for her job and for people, and was never one to do things halfway. She became a certified specialist in Probate, Trust, and Estate Planning, and President of the Trust and Estate Planning Section of the OCBA in 1982. She understood the importance of being responsive to her clients’ needs and fostered a business culture filled with kindness, compassion and respect. And Sallie followed through on these ideals in her personal life as well. She was a volunteer beyond all others, donating much of her time to Saddleback Hospital and Scripps College where she became the first woman ever to hold the position of Chairman of the Board.
